 FOOD SHELF-FOOD PROGRAMS

The Food Shelf is located around the corner from St. Edwards Catholic Church at 4837 State Highway 84 NE. Longville, MN 56655 behind the Tossed n Found thrift store. Hours are 11 am - 3 pm  every Wednesday and the first Thursday of the month.  First time users should bring ID and proof of residency (electric bill, etc) See our address at the top of this page.

Please support your local food shelves by donating cash, canned or dried foods, & personal care items throughout the year. 

March is Food Share Month

MAC is a Mothers And Children program

To qualify for MAC one must:

  • Be a pregnant woman or mother with a baby under age 1, or be an infant or child less than 6 years old.
  • Not be receiving WIC
  • Live in Minnesota
  • Meet income guidelines

A pregnant woman can stay on MAC until 6 weeks after her baby is born.  A new mother, either breast or bottle-feeding, certifies for 6 months.  After 6 months, they can re-certify for the program 1 more time.

NAPS is a Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors 
(part of the Commodities Supplemental Food Program)

To qualify for a NAPS food box one must:

  • Be 60 years old or older 
  • Must live in Minnesota
  • Must meet income guidelines

    • For Certification for this program:

    • Bring Proof of ID
    • Proof of Birth Date 
    • Proof of Residency
    • Proof of Income from all sources
