CHILD & TEEN CHECKUPS PROGRAM

Child & Teen Checkups is a comprehensive child health program provided to children and teens from newborn through the age of 20 who are enrolled in Medical Assistance or Minnesota Care.

Child & Teen Checkups Health Checks include:

• Information about good physical health
• Information about thoughts, feelings & relationships with others
• Time to ask questions and get answers about your child's health & development
• Complete physical exam
• Immunizations
• Hearing check
• Vision check
• Lab tests
• Checks on development & growth
• Referral to the dentist

Get Health Checks:                           

• Between birth & one month
• At months 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15 & 18
• At years 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6
• Every 2 years after age 6

Get Regular Dental Checkups:

• Every 6 months starting at 3 years ( or earlier if there are problems)

Health Checks are available from:

• Cass County Public Health (218)547-1340
• Your doctor or clinic
• Some local public health departments

Children enrolled in a health plan must get their Child & Teen Checkups services from providers in their health plan.

Medical Assistance & Minnesota Care pay for Child & Teen Checkups services.
