Child & Teen Checkups is a comprehensive child health program provided to children and teens from newborn through the age of 20 who are enrolled in Medical Assistance or Minnesota Care. Medical Assistance or Minnesota Care pay for Child & Teen Checkups services.
Child & Teen Checkups Health Checks Include:
Information about good physical health. Information about thoughts, feelings and relationships with others. It is a time to ask questions and get answers about your child's health and development. Complete physical exam, shots, hearing check, vision check, lab tests, checks on development and growth, referral to the dentist.
Get Health Checks:
Between birth and one month
At months 2,4,6,9,12,15 and 18
At years 2,3,4,5 and 6
Every 2 years after age 6
Get Regular Dental Checkups:
Every 6 months starting at age 3 (or earlier if there are problems)

- Some local Public Health departments
- Children enrolled in a health plan, must get their Child & Teen Checkups services from providers in their health plan.
